I am converting my Losi 8ight to electric for next year.  I have a question for the couple of guys that have been running their electric 1/8 scales at Rescue.  What motor (kv)/battery (4c,5c,6c, Mah?) combos are you running in order to make the entire 20 minute main?  I am looking at possibly going with a 1700 Kv Tekin and a 5 cell 5000+/- Mah battery.  There is a lot of info on sites like RCtech but runtime is also largely dependent on track size and layout so I thought that I would ask those who are actually running here.  Also on a slightly different note, how many others are planning on running 1/8 E buggy next year?  If we have enough for a class (and possibly shorter mains) that also may change my purchase decision on running gear.

I was able to run 19 minutes on a 4s 1900 setup while be conservative.

However a 5s 1700 setup is a bit faster and will make 20 minutes as long as you've got a good pack, say 5s 4400mah or so.

6s 1400 setups can also make 20 minutes of the pack is around 3600 or more.

Thanks Randy for the reply. I ended up going with the tekin 1700 with
5 cell 5000's. A little heavy but I should have a good chance at
making time. I will probably order some smaller batteries later when I
determine my actual mah usage
